Matan Somali Development International Organization (MSDIO) conducted an emergency water trucking intervention from April 25 to May 15, 2025, in 14 villages of East Dhusamareb, including:  Gadon, Inamed, Afweyne-bannaan, Xundurre, Xananleey, Galo, Suriye-jige, Qaansoole, Gaari-goye, Balli-gasle, Tiirsane, Garsaalo, Suulceyn and Galeyrdab

Somalia. The initiative delivered 600,000 liters of safe water to 1,500 drought-affected households, improving access and reducing health risks. Despite challenges, it achieved full coverage, reduced water-fetching time, and recommended transitioning to sustainable water infrastructure solutions.
