Matan Somali Development International Organization (MSDIO) conducted an emergency water trucking intervention from April 25 to May 15, 2025, in 14 villages of East Dhusamareb, Somalia. The initiative delivered 600,000 liters of safe water to 1,500 drought-affected households, improving access and reducing health risks. Despite challenges, it achieved full coverage, reduced water-fetching time, and recommended transitioning to sustainable water infrastructure solutions.
